Isopropyl alcohol (IPA), also known as 2-propanol, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C₃H₈O, which is a tautomer of n-propanol. It is a colorless and transparent liquid with an odor like a mixture of ethanol and acetone, and is soluble in water, as well as in most organic solvents such as alcohol, ether, benzene and chloroform.

Isopropyl alcohol is an important chemical products and raw materials.
